THE MINIMALIST COUPLE

.

Hi! It's been a hectic past few months. It's now a new year and I'm ready to start new works. I've been turning the squeaky wheels inside my head, sketching away, and having tea with my creative muse :)

Valentine's Day is less than a month away, do you feel it in the air?

I'm proud to present my latest, Soul, an original wall art for modern romantics.

Soul
by Carolina Seth

Soul is made of solid American wood and hand painted with acrylics. I've used very delicate, fine brushes to achieve its sleek minimalist lines. I couldn't be satisfied with just one color, so I've created a second piece in blue.

They are OOAK (one of a kind) and both can be found at my Artfire and Etsy shops.

MAGICAL GUESTS

 Happy New Year 2012!

We've been busy preparing for the arrival of visitors from your garden and beyond... and the much anticipated day has arrived.

This Thursday is the opening reception of GNOMELAND: The Evolution of Gnomus Sapiens at the Elroy Artspace Gallery of Modern Art in downtown Portland, Oregon.

I'm exhibiting six new original pieces specially created for this event, along with the works of other very talented artists.

THE MERRIEST DAY OF THE YEAR IS NEAR

 .
Never worry about the size of your Christmas tree. In the eyes of children, they are all 30 feet tall.

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year 2012!

SNEAK PEAK OF GNOMDERFUL THINGS TO COME...

Appearing soon in the Pacific West Coast!

I've been invited as a guest artist to exhibit at the amazing Elroy Artspace Gallery of Modern Art in Portland, OR.

The show is in January and promises to be a lot of fun, as all exhibits at the Artspace. If you are a fan of Mid Century design, that's the place to be. Keep your eyes peeled for updates here and at the gallery's blog.

And now, here is a sneak peak of some of my new creatures, who will appear with all their splendor to the public next month.

Bye-bye wintery clouds, hello blue skies...The invasion is near!

FEATURED ARTIST (Yeyy!)

 .

I've been interviewed by photographer and blog author Rachel Brandt-Fisher. Read about it in her blog "Delete The Adjectives".

And while you are there, check out some of her other stories, you might want to follow Rachel's blog (I am!).

MAGIC IS HAPPENING IN TWO DAYS

 .
"Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic." ~ Arthur C. Clarke

"Art is a sense of magic."~ Stan Brakhage

Those of you who believe in magic, raise your hands!

Those of you who believe in the magic of technology, raise your hands and feet! (Ouch! I fell on the floor...).

Wacom, the amazing people who brought us the graphics tablet and pressure-sensitive pen, have done it again.

This Thursday, September 15, is the much anticipated release of Inkling, it will change forever the way you draw.
But don't take my word for it, check out the video!

The root of  "Wacom" is "Wa", a Japanese word for harmony, and "com" for computer - the harmony between human and computer.
(You can find more about Inkling at its official website.)

Ay! How exciting is this!? I don't think I will be able to sleep in the next two nights...

I'm starting my Christmas list earlier this year  ;)
